November 29, Dec. 6, 13, 20 – Advent Series From the Halls of Heaven: What do a rigid priest, a baffled young virgin, a strict fiancé, and common shepherds all have in common?   The answer, they were ordinary people going about ordinary routines who were descended upon by heavenly messengers bringing news that the living God was entering their world!   As we come to Advent we come to the largest concentration of angels anywhere in the Bible.  Angels engaged in rebuking, informing, encouraging, guiding, protecting, advising, and most of all, worshiping.   Standing where we are, we can certainly learn from these ones who stand in the presence of God day after day.   We can learn of Him whom they serve, of his character, majesty, and power, and if we listen closely, we can learn about ourselves in comparison.  This year let us strive to see the incarnation through the angel’s eyes.

December 13 – Annual Congregational Meeting – 4 pm in the Maplewood Sanctuary.   Get the state of the church.  Elect officers. 

December 13 – Kids Music program.  Following the annual meeting.

December 24 – Christmas Eve service. Highlight of the Advent season.  Join us as we await Christ’s birth.

December 27 and January 3 – Join worship with Crossroads East and West in the East Sanctuary.  10:30 am.
